Our internship program in Nicaragua offers a transformative experience for young people seeking to embark on a longer-term mission trip. This opportunity will allow students to grow spiritually as they live and serve alongside the people of Nicaragua in a cross-cultural setting. Interns will have the chance to assist at the Garden of Leon, which provides housing and meals for short-term mission teams.
As they work alongside mission teams, they will also contribute to various projects, such as construction, feeding programs, discipleship, Vacation Bible School (VBS), medical and dental clinics, and more.
In addition to supporting these ministries, interns will immerse themselves in the everyday life of a missionary—attending church services, visiting new ministry areas, running errands, grocery shopping, and helping with household tasks like housekeeping and yard work. In doing so, they’ll understand the daily responsibilities and rhythms of mission life.
Through these experiences, interns will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the local community, offering hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ. Their presence will be a source of inspiration, and their acts of service will have a lasting impact on the people they meet.
If you're ready to take the next step, please print and complete the application below and email it to us (applications will only be accepted via email). We look forward to hearing from you!
Most of our interns have prior experience on mission trips, but they are eager to extend their stay and deepen their understanding of Missions. During their time with us, they will work closely alongside our missionaries and translators, contributing to meaningful initiatives that make a lasting impact in Nicaragua, while also cultivating a deep love and appreciation for the Nicaraguan people.
